What we’re about
The clue is in the name. Edgewave exists to do hard computational work at the edge — on compact, power-constrained modules that have to perform real-time processing reliably, whether standing alone or as part of a connected system.
And when those modules have to move data fast, that’s a particular strength: we design and bring up high-speed serial links — PCI Express, 1G and 10G Ethernet, 12G-SDI and custom transports — across the hardware, firmware and software they touch.
That capability isn’t tied to a single industry. It turns up in video and audio, in industrial automation and instrumentation, and in plenty of places besides. If your product needs serious processing in a small, low-power package, that’s our home ground
One link, or the whole chain
Most of our work is a single, well-defined piece — a PCB layout, an FPGA processing module, a firmware build — and that’s exactly how many clients want to engage us. You get a specialist deliverable from people who understand the system around it, which tends to show in the result.
But we can take on as much more as you need, and that’s where we’re unusual. We work across the full stack — signal processing, FPGA fabric, embedded firmware, electronics, mechanical design, compliance testing and manufacture — so when a larger programme calls for it, the hard problems at the boundaries between disciplines are ours to solve, not yours to project-manage. On complex, processing-heavy products that integration is exactly where the difficult engineering lives, and it’s the part most consultancies hand straight back to you.

Edgewave isn’t a standing start. It’s the next stage of a consultancy that has delivered embedded and signal-processing engineering since 2006 — with a record of completed projects and clients who come back. We’re expanding that proven capability, taking on people, premises and larger programmes, to do more of it for more clients.
